Acoem appoints Edwin Brennen to lead NA gunshot detection channel strategy

GRANTS PASS, Ore. — Acoem announced that it has appointed Edwin (Ed) Brennen as Business Development Manager for its ATD (Acoustic Threat Detection) team and will lead Acoem’s channel partner development efforts in North America.

In his new role, Brennen will focus on building and supporting an ecosystem of integrators, distributors, and service providers to expand access to Acoem’s ATD solution, an advanced gunshot detection.

With more than 35 years of experience across public sector technology and electronic security, Brennen has worked closely with courts, jails, and law enforcement agencies across multiple states, providing consultative guidance and long-term support. In addition, he brings expertise in the electronic security industry, having held senior roles at ADT and Honeywell. His hands-on experience spans the entire integration lifecycle, from alarm installation and service to regional leadership roles in sales and channel operations.

“Ed brings a rare combination of technical know-how and real-world sales leadership that will be instrumental as we expand our partner network,” said Timothy English, Managing Director of Security Solutions at Acoem. “Gunshot detection is becoming an essential layer in modern security strategies. Ed’s ability to engage with integrators and help them see the opportunity in this space will be a key driver of our growth in North America.”

The appointment comes ahead of Acoem’s participation at the GSX 2025 trade show, where Brennen will meet with new and prospective partners. For more information or to schedule a conversation with Brennen, visit https://acoematd.com/channel-partner-program/

“I’m excited to join a company with such a unique and proven approach to gunshot detection,” said Brennen. “My goal is to help the right partners recognize the value of this technology and introduce it into markets where it can truly make a difference.”
