Alarm.com introduces video intercom directory for Multi-Tenant

TYSONS, Va. — Alarm.com has announced the release of its new low-cost Video Intercom Mobile Directory, an innovative solution for secure entry management.

Available to Alarm.com and PointCentral service provider partners, it replaces traditional intercoms with a professionally supported solution that is affordable for clients across all markets, easy for consumers to use with their existing mobile phones.

Visitors approach the video intercom hub, scan the visitor QR code with their mobile phones, browse the tenant directory, and start a secure video call. Residents and commercial tenants can see, speak, and unlock doors from anywhere using the provided Alarm.com video intercom app.

"We've designed the Video Intercom Mobile Directory to bring building intercoms into the smartphone era," said Dan Kerzner, President of Platforms Business at Alarm.com. " Property managers will benefit from a low cost and sleek low-footprint enterprise-grade visitor management solution, and our service providers will gain another way to provide substantial value to their multi-tenant customer bases."

Support for third-party readers makes it easy for new and existing properties to adopt the solution, maximizing both convenience and reducing costs. The system allows users to turn their existing doorbells into a building wide intercom system, provide access to service works, and allows residents to greet guests and accept deliveries remotely.

The Video Intercom Mobile Directory is available now through Alarm.com and PointCentral service providers across North America and select international markets.
