BioConnect, Genetec formalize long-standing integration partnership

TORONTO—BioConnect recently announced that its technology integration with Genetec has been certified through the Genetec Development Acceleration Program (DAP), formalizing a collaboration between the two companies that spans more than a decade. According to BioConnect, the certification strengthens a relationship that has already resulted in more than 40 shared customers across multiple market segments. The companies said the integration combines BioConnect's biometric identity and no-enrollment onboarding capabilities with the Genetec Security Center platform to help organizations manage access control at scale. “This official integration represents the next chapter in a decade-long relationship between BioConnect and Genetec built on innovation, trust, and shared customer success,” said Edsel Shreve, general manager at BioConnect. Shreve said many organizations continue to rely on legacy biometric authentication systems that were not designed to address modern scalability, compliance and cyber-physical security requirements. “Together with Genetec, we’re helping enterprises move beyond legacy systems with a more intelligent, scalable and secure approach to biometric authentication,” he said. François Brouillet, senior product line manager, access control, for Genetec, said BioConnect has been an established integration partner within the Genetec ecosystem for years. “BioConnect has been a trusted integration partner within the Genetec ecosystem for years, and we’re pleased to welcome them into our Technology Partner Program,” Brouillet said. “This formalizes a long-standing collaboration and reinforces our shared commitment to delivering open, interoperable access control solutions to our customers.” The companies said the BioConnect-Genetec Deep Embed integration enables security administrators to perform biometric enrollment and template management directly within Genetec Security Desk. BioConnect said the integration allows customers to manage biometric access across facilities while improving operational efficiency, increasing security visibility and supporting compliance efforts. The companies noted the offering is designed for organizations operating in regulated environments, including data centers, critical infrastructure facilities and enterprise settings.
