Convergint acquires A+ Technology & Security Solutions

SCHAUMBURG, Ill.—Convergint, a global provider of service-based systems integration, has announced the acquisition of A+ Technology & Security Solutions, a security integrator based in Bay Shore, N.Y., with over 30 years of experience serving Long Island and the broader Northeastern region.

The acquisition strengthens Convergint’s capabilities across key sectors, including K-12 education, higher education, law enforcement, government, municipalities, and commercial clients, the company stated in its announcement.

Founded in 1989 by David Antar, A+ Technology & Security Solutions specializes in the convergence of physical security, offering end-to-end services from design through installation and support. Known for its open-standards approach, the company delivers flexible and scalable solutions without the constraints of proprietary systems. This model helps reduce total cost of ownership and simplifies procurement, making it especially valuable for the public sector.
