During a MySentry panic alarm, authorized responders can also view live video from connected Ring cameras when an incident occurs within camera range, providing additional situational awareness. Available through the Ring Appstore, MySentry offers a seven-day free trial before transitioning to a paid subscription. Users can sign in to an existing MySentry account or create a new one, complete a safety profile, connect eligible Ring cameras and configure emergency response settings. Customers can designate trusted emergency contacts and customize notification, location-sharing, audio and video preferences for qualifying alarm events. MySentry remains a separate third-party subscription service, and canceling the service does not affect a customer's Ring account or camera functionality. The platform is available on iOS and Android smartphones, as well as compatible Apple Watch and Samsung Galaxy Watch devices. MySentry combines several personal safety features, including Panic Alarm activation, MeetSafe check-ins, emergency contact notifications, family connectivity tools, automated calling, crash detection, smartwatch-based fall detection, personalized health monitoring and professional monitoring on eligible plans. ONVIF advances standard for verifying surveillance video authenticity

SAN RAMON, Calif.—As concerns grow over manipulated and AI-generated video, ONVIF has introduced a new standardized approach designed to help organizations verify the authenticity and integrity of surveillance footage. The organization announced the Release Candidate for its Media Signing Add-on, a specification that enables surveillance video to be cryptographically signed at the point of creation, providing a method for confirming both the origin of footage and whether it has been altered after recording. The move comes as video evidence plays an increasingly important role in law enforcement investigations, corporate inquiries, insurance claims and legal proceedings, while advances in artificial intelligence and video manipulation technologies have raised new questions about the reliability of digital evidence. “Proving authenticity is central to trust in video,” said Leo Levit, chairman of the ONVIF Board of Directors. “The Media Signing Add-on Release Candidate gives the security industry a standardized method to help counter manipulated video and defend authentic content. Making it an open standard ensures transparency, builds trust and enables investigators, insurers and courts to verify video from different sources using consistent tools and workflow.” Under the specification, network video devices such as IP cameras and video encoders can cryptographically sign encoded video as it is created. The signing information is linked to the specific device that produced the footage and is designed to protect the integrity of the video sequence. Video players and verification tools that support the Media Signing specification can then validate whether footage remains authentic and trace it back to its source, even after it has been transferred between platforms and services. Initially, the add-on supports video authentication only, although ONVIF said support for audio authentication is planned for future versions.

Acre Security refreshes Access It! user experience with 13.0 release

AUSTIN, Texas—Acre Security has unveiled a comprehensive user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) refresh for its Access It! access control platform, aiming to help security teams work more efficiently while preserving the workflows customers already know. Delivered as part of Access It! 13.0, the update modernizes both the desktop and web clients with cleaner layouts, updated visual elements and a more consistent design language across the platform. The enhancements are intended to make it easier for operators and administrators to locate information, manage credentials and monitor system health without requiring extensive retraining. The refreshed experience introduces improved navigation, a clearer visual hierarchy, modernized icons and updated tables designed to streamline daily operations. Acre said the redesign was built around how customers use the platform in real-world environments, with an emphasis on balancing modernization and familiarity. Among the most significant updates is a redesigned credential management interface featuring a new credential grid and expanded sorting and filtering capabilities. A new System Insights dashboard also provides centralized visibility into system status, combining live warnings, key metrics and health indicators into a single at-a-glance view. “This refresh is about making Access It! easier and faster to use while protecting what customers already value about the platform,” said Kumar Sokka, CEO of Acre Security. “Security teams should not have to choose between a modern experience and the workflows they know. With Access It! 13.0, they gain both, backed by the services and support to help them get more from their investment over time.” The modernization reflects Acre's continued investment in Access It! as an on-premises access control solution. By retaining familiar workflows, the company said existing customers can adopt the updated experience with minimal disruption. The release is also intended to help value-added resellers and systems integrators extend the life and value of customers' current access control investments. The company also highlighted the role of Acre Solutions, its services division, in supporting organizations throughout the adoption and lifecycle of the platform. Services include migration readiness workshops, migration assistance, support programs such as Acre Care and Acre Care Pro, and ongoing training and certification opportunities.

Crisis24, Dataminr launch unified AI risk management solution

ATLANTA—Crisis24 and Dataminr have launched a new integrated intelligence solution that combines real-time event detection, agentic artificial intelligence (AI), human-verified analysis and response workflows within the Crisis24 Horizon platform. Unveiled at GSX 2026 and now available to customers, the solution marks the first major release stemming from the strategic partnership the companies announced in March. The integration brings Dataminr's real-time intelligence and agentic AI capabilities directly into Crisis24 Horizon, enabling organizations to monitor threats, assess operational impacts and take action from a single platform. "Speed and context are what separates a managed crisis from an unmanaged one," said Gregoire Pinton, managing director and global head of integrated risk management at Crisis24. "The addition of Dataminr's real-time event detection to the Crisis24 Horizon unified risk management platform offers our clients an even faster, deeper view, backed by the human expertise and global response network that only Crisis24 can deliver." The combined solution pairs Dataminr's Multi-Modal Fusion AI technology, which analyzes text, images, video, audio and sensor signals from more than one million public data sources in 150 languages, with Crisis24's intelligence analysts and 24/7 Global Operations Centers. The companies say the integration helps organizations identify emerging threats while providing the context needed to make faster operational decisions. New capabilities include ReGenAI Live Briefs, which continuously update event summaries and impact assessments; Agentic Context, which uses Dataminr's historical event archive to provide additional background; Agentic Corroboration, which automatically searches for supporting information as events unfold; and Near-Term Predictive Intelligence, designed to help users anticipate how incidents may develop. The companies say the platform can map intelligence against an organization's facilities, employees and other assets, allowing security teams to quickly determine relevance and prioritize response efforts. From within Horizon, users can activate mass notifications and access Crisis24's global security and medical response services through a unified workflow. "Too often security teams find themselves reacting to risk one step behind the information they need," said Matt Harrell, chief partner officer at Dataminr. "By natively embedding our real-time intelligence and agentic AI directly into Crisis24 Horizon, we're giving global enterprises the ability to see a threat, understand its impact and act - all in the time it used to take just to notice something was wrong." According to the companies, future releases will extend Dataminr's real-time intelligence directly to employees and travelers in the field while introducing more tailored intelligence based on individual customer risk profiles and assets. Dataminr and Crisis24 are demonstrating the new solution this week at GSX 2026 in Atlanta. Attendees can learn more at Dataminr's booth 1560 and the Crisis24/GardaWorld booth 2232.

SWEAR launches video integrity program for cities

BOISE, Idaho—SWEAR has launched the Community Video Integrity Project, a new initiative designed to help cities, law enforcement agencies and other public-sector organizations verify the authenticity of critical video evidence. The program aims to address growing concerns about deepfakes and artificial intelligence (AI)-generated content by creating a verifiable record showing that video footage has not been altered from the moment it is captured. According to SWEAR, selected participants will deploy the company's technology across high-priority cameras, giving organizations an independent means of documenting the authenticity of video used in investigations, public safety operations, legal proceedings and other critical activities. “Video plays a critical role in how our customers investigate incidents, respond to events, and make important security decisions,” said Andy Schreyer, vice president of technology at Stone Security. “As AI makes sophisticated manipulation increasingly accessible, protecting that video means building on how it is captured and stored to also prove authenticity.” The program is designed for organizations using Milestone XProtect and provides an additional layer of video authentication that complements existing security protections. SWEAR said it creates a cryptographic record of footage at the point of capture, enabling organizations to demonstrate that video has remained unchanged. “AI has fundamentally changed the standard for trusting video,” said Jason Crawforth, CEO of SWEAR. “Organizations need a way to prove that the video they present in an investigation, in court, or to the public is authentic and unchanged from the moment it was captured.” Public-sector organizations interested in participating in the Community Video Integrity Project can apply through SWEAR's website at www.swear.com/community-video-integrity-project.

ZBeta launches Client Immersion Program

SAN FRANCISCO—ZBeta has launched a new Client Immersion Program designed to help organizations align security strategies and investments with broader business objectives before making major decisions. The program brings executive leaders and key stakeholders together to establish a shared understanding of organizational priorities, operational requirements and long-term goals as security becomes increasingly intertwined with business continuity, resilience and growth initiatives. According to ZBeta, the engagement provides a structured process for examining how an organization operates, where risks intersect with business strategy and what capabilities a security program must support over time. “Security strategy cannot be developed independently of business strategy,” said Conal O’Doherty, principal and chief growth officer at ZBeta. “The Client Immersion Program gives security leaders the opportunity to step back, align around the organization’s priorities and establish a clear direction before major decisions are made.” The program incorporates ZBeta’s Six-Lens Framework, which evaluates organizations through six areas: business strategy, operations, risk, technology maturity, stakeholder alignment and future goals. The company said the approach helps leadership teams identify dependencies, surface competing priorities and better understand how security decisions may affect the broader enterprise. ZBeta said the Client Immersion Program is aimed at organizations navigating leadership transitions, mergers and acquisitions, global expansion, technology modernization or the adoption of artificial intelligence. Insights from the engagement are translated into a strategic roadmap intended to help leaders prioritize initiatives and evaluate future investments.
