Emerging Leaders Under 40BRENT: In the last 1.5 years as senior director of customer success, I've been responsible for building our Customer Success program, which focuses on providing the best customer experience. This includes developing and maintaining a “Netwatch Playbook” of best practices and repeatable success strategies to maximize success of Netwatch services internationally; heading strategic initiatives to enable sales, growth, and provide positive customer onboarding; collecting and analyzing customer feedback to drive improved utilization of features, guide our product roadmap, and continuously improve our service and customer satisfaction; and collaborating cross-functionally to complete complex sales, marketing, operations, and R&D projects focused on a positive customer experience.

SSN: In 100 words or less, share what attracts you to the security industry as a young leader.

BRENT: The security industry's critical role in safeguarding individuals and organizations against emerging threats captivates my interest as a young leader. There is a constant need for innovation and adaptation, especially due to the diverse and ever-evolving changes in the threat landscape due to technology advances in our society. We are required to be at-pace with this advancement and must leverage the latest technology to proactively identify and protect against threats, risks, and vulnerabilities. The prospect of contributing to a safer world, while embracing cutting-edge advancements, drives my commitment to the security industry.

SSN: In 100 words or less, describe the significance of being recognized as an SSN Emerging Leader Under 40 winner.

BRENT: Being recognized as an SSN Emerging Leader Under 40 is an honor. Even being nominated by my colleagues is humbling, and I am grateful for the acknowledgment of my early career accomplishments. This is a reminder that my hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed, and that my contributions have made a positive impact. There is still so much to learn and achieve, but the support and talent in this industry is truly driven by a collective effort involving mentors, peers, and supporters.
