Ferguson shooting topic of ISC West keynote

LAS VEGAS—Major Greg Smith of the Missouri State Highway Patrol will be the keynote speaker at ISC West. His speech is titled “Responding to Ferguson.”
He was manager of patrol operations during the civil unrest in Ferguson following the fatal shooting of an unarmed black man by a local police officer last August.
Smith will discuss why security technology is critical for public safety and how law enforcement officers are making use of it.
The speech will take place from 3-4 p.m. April 16 at the Sands Expo and is open to all badge holders.
