Gallagher appoints new Technical Business Development Manager for South Australia

HAMILTON, New Zealand—Gallagher, a global leader in access control and perimeter security solutions, has announced the appointment of George Dunleavy in the newly created role of Technical Business Development Manager for South Australia and the Northern Territory, continuing the rapid growth of its global team.

George will begin his new role on Sept. 1, 2021 and will work closely with Gallagher’s extensive network of Channel Partners.

Based in Adelaide, George has more than 15 years of security industry experience and was most recently with the Department for Education as Strategic Manager for Security and Emergency Management.

As a former police officer with the South Australia Police in Adelaide and the West Midlands Police in Birmingham, England, George brings a wealth of practical incident and crisis management experience through a variety of frontline policing roles.

“George’s knowledge and understanding of the unique security challenges faced by educational facilities will extend the success we have seen within this industry and support the demand we continue to experience,” said Karl Harris, Sales Manager for South Australia at Gallagher. “During his time at the Department for Education, George was instrumental in the provision of electronic security and access control requirements for Australia's first vertical high school, as well as the $1 billion school construction program being delivered by the South Australian Government.”

Craig Schutte, Gallagher’s General Manager for Asia-Pacific (APAC) and Europe, the Middle East and Africa (IMEA), added, “With the technical expertise and experience George brings to the team, he will play a key role in our continued growth across South Australia. As a high-performing team with a great company culture, we are proud to attract some of the best talent within the security industry.”
