Hakimo wins two SIA NPS awards at ISC West

LAS VEGAS—Hakimo, a venture-backed company dedicated to modernizing physical security through its AI software which holistically manages enterprise physical security operations, was recognized by the Security Industry Association (SIA) as the winner of two awards at the 2022 SIA New Products and Solutions (NPS) Awards during ISC West.

Hakimo was named the 2022 Winner of the Commercial Monitoring Solutions category for its product, Hakimo Alarm Monitoring 2.0 and also received the prestigious Judges’ Choice Award across the more than 30 product categories.

The SIA NPS awards program drew more than 70 product submissions, with solutions coming from a variety of security categories, including access control, surveillance, biometrics and software. A panel of more than 30 vendor-neutral judges, each of whom have more than 10 years of security industry experience, evaluated the awards program.

“SIA applauds the 2022 SIA NPS Awards honorees, whose outstanding products, solutions and technologies represent the best and most cutting-edge security offerings on the market,” said SIA Chief Executive Officer Don Erickson. “SIA congratulates Hakimo for standing out among the impressive field of entrants in this competitive flagship awards program.”

Hakimo Chief Executive Officer Samuel Joseph and Director of Sales Jason Wright received the awards during a ceremony on the ISC West show floor.

Hakimo Alarm Monitoring 2.0 uses AI to solve the top two problems faced by monitoring stations and Global Security Operations Centers - access control false alarms and tailgating detection. Hakimo reduces false alarms by more than 80 percent, has the best tailgating detector in the industry with a less than one percent false positive rate and provides bidirectional integrations and partnerships with most common access control systems.

“We are truly honored to have been recognized by SIA as the winner of not one, but two award categories,” Joseph said. “Our solution mitigates the influx of false alarms that enterprise monitoring centers are overwhelmed with each day and provides a scalable solution to detect and reduce tailgating. The acknowledgements that we received at ISC West are a testimony that our software is making a difference.”

In addition to accepting the awards, Hakimo headlined two SIA educational panel discussions at the show covering topics related to AI. Alongside Joseph, panelists Duncan Turner of Amazon Studios and Jason Veiock of GoDaddy presented, “Artificial Intelligence + Access Control: Amplifying the Signal While Suppressing the Noise.” Joseph also spoke on the topic, “How the 2022 SIA Security Megatrends Will Impact Your Business,” with Kathryn Bartunek of Microsoft Cloud and Lee Odess of Latch.

Since its inception in 1979, the SIA NPS Awards have been the security industry’s premier product awards program. New products are reviewed by a panel of judges with extensive industry experience, and in 2022, following significant deliberations, the 30 judges presented awards for technologies covering 25 product and service categories.
