Hikvision releases new video intercoms

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. – Security device manufacturer and supplier Hikvision has just released a new compact intercom door station with a variety of new features.

Additionally, the company said that it’s upgraded its two-wire intercom kit to implement an improved feature set for installers and users. Both new options promise to deliver an enhanced user experience and promise easy installation and reliable performance. Hikvision said that both additions to their lineup were developed in response to market demand for reliable, high-performance security devices.

“Building entrances set the tone and expectations for visitors and occupants, so we designed these latest products to be simple to use, and to deliver an excellent user experience with clear audio, crisp video, and solid security functionality,” said John Xiao, Vice President of Marketing, Hikvision USA. “By incorporating touch screens, authentication options, and sophisticated features such as noise and echo cancelation, we are delivering on Hikvision’s commitment to bring easy-to-use, effective technology to help organizations meet their service and security objectives.”

The new Villa Door Station supports both access cards and facial authentication and can store up to 20,000 contacts with onboard storage and processing. Other features include an internal Mifare card reader and physical call button for contacting the indoor station.

The two-wire intercom kit is being migrated to the Y-version and will incorporate plug-and-play for easy installation. The new kit version enhances user experience with outstanding image quality, mobile control anytime, and an improved touch screen experience (Hikvision notes this kit cannot be used with the old model DS-KIS702-P).
