Hurricane threat cancels CSAA annual meeting in Bermuda

YARMOUTH, Maine—Hurricane Gonzalo has forced CSAA International to cancel its 2014 Annual Meeting, scheduled for Oct. 17-22 in Bermuda.

The National Weather Service predicted the Category 4 storm would reach Bermuda by Oct. 17, and the host hotel, Fairmont Southampton Bermuda, alerted CSAA that it is in “hurricane preparedness status” and expects to be impacted, CSAA said in a prepared statement.

Those who made hotel reservations through the CSAA room block will have them automatically canceled. Otherwise, participants should contact the hotel directly.

CSAA encouraged any one with questions to contact them directly at 703-242-4670.
