International cybersecurity experts debut ransomware prevention guide

MISSOULA, Mont. – LMG Security announced today the debut of a new book, Ransomware and Cyber Extortion: Response and Prevention, to help prepare organizations against a growing problem.

The book is written by LMG cybersecurity experts Sherri Davidoff, founder and CEO, Matt Durrin, director of training and research, and Karen Sprenger, COO and chief ransomware negotiator. Ransomware and other forms of cyber extortion have reached such a volume that many businesses and organizations are unprepared to handle the response LMG said. With the combined knowledge and experience of the book's three authors however they say the reader can be guided to the proper response in dealing with the malicious practice.

"Ransomware and cyber extortion can be devastating. Every organization needs to know how to minimize the risk of these attacks through effective prevention and response," said Davidoff. "We are excited to share our experience and advice on ransomware and cyber extortion, including real-world case studies, in this practical and actionable guide."

LMG says that Ransomware and Cyber Extortion: Response and Prevention provides a list of actionable steps to take, and checklists so that security teams can be quick and decisive in their response and should be required reading for any CIOs, CISOs, cybersecurity professionals, IT Staff, or incident response managers among others.

The book is available for purchase through Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and InformIT. For more information and biographies on the authors please visit www.LMGsecurity.com/ransomwarebook.
