Minuteman acquires Performance Link Technologies, expands Southeast footprint

ANDOVER, Mass.—Minuteman Security & Life Safety has acquired Performance Link Technologies (PLT), a North Carolina-based provider of structured cabling, security and low-voltage technology solutions, in a move designed to expand Minuteman's presence in the Southeast and strengthen its ability to serve customers nationwide. 

Founded in 2004 by John Gendron and Rich Bedner, Performance Link Technologies built its business around structured cabling services before expanding into electronic security in 2009. The company serves customers across a range of sectors, including manufacturing, automotive, healthcare, education, retail, government, commercial and industrial markets.

What impressed us most throughout this process was the PLT team and the culture they've built over the past two decades.” 

PLT's portfolio includes structured cabling, voice and data infrastructure, video surveillance, access control, wireless networking, paging and other technology solutions.

Minuteman said the acquisition will enhance its ability to deliver integrated security, life safety, structured cabling and enterprise technology solutions while strengthening its geographic reach throughout the Southeast. 

Gendron said joining Minuteman will allow PLT to maintain its culture while gaining access to additional resources and growth opportunities.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
