PAOLI, Pa.—Zeus Fire and Security has announced a leadership transition that will see Michael Cox become chief executive officer, while founder Scott R. Elkins moves into the role of executive chairman and member of the board of directors. The company said the change is part of a long-planned succession process intended to strengthen leadership capacity, support continued growth and position Zeus for its next stage of expansion. Elkins has served as CEO since Zeus was formed in partnership with Access Holdings in February 2022. Minuteman acquires Performance Link Technologies, expands Southeast footprint  

ANDOVER, Mass.—Minuteman Security & Life Safety has acquired Performance Link Technologies (PLT), a North Carolina-based provider of structured cabling, security and low-voltage technology solutions, in a move designed to expand Minuteman's presence in the Southeast and strengthen its ability to serve customers nationwide. Founded in 2004 by John Gendron and Rich Bedner, Performance Link Technologies built its business around structured cabling services before expanding into electronic security in 2009. Allied Universal acquires Sentinel Offender Services

CENTEGIX, VOLT partner on AI-powered school safety integration 

ATLANTA—CENTEGIX and VOLT have partnered to connect artificial intelligence (AI)-powered video intelligence with emergency response workflows, allowing schools and other organizations to receive and act on real-time threat alerts. The integration combines VOLT’s video analytics platform with the CENTEGIX Safety Platform, enabling verified alerts from existing camera systems to be automatically routed to responders and, when needed, connected to 911 dispatch. According to the companies, VOLT continuously monitors camera feeds for potential threats and emergencies, including weapons, physical altercations, medical incidents, unauthorized access and behavioral escalation. All alerts are human verified before being sent to security personnel to help reduce false alarms. “Most camera footage is only used after an incident, to review what happened,” said Brent Cobb, CEO of CENTEGIX. “With CENTEGIX and VOLT, that changes. The moment a threat is identified, an alert pushes straight into CENTEGIX and drives a faster response.” The companies said the integration complements CENTEGIX’s wearable crisis-alert technology by combining human-initiated panic alerts with AI-driven monitoring of areas that may not be actively supervised. “VOLT exists because the earlier you detect an incident, the more options you have to stop it from escalating,” said Dmitry Sokolowski, CEO of VOLT. “Pairing our real-time detection with a platform like CENTEGIX means that critical seconds aren't lost translating an alert into action.” CENTEGIX and VOLT said the integration supports evolving school safety requirements, including legislation such as Alyssa’s Law, and does not require organizations to replace existing camera infrastructure. The companies also noted that VOLT does not use facial recognition technology. Arlo named among Newsweek's most trustworthy companies in America

Allied Universal CEO Jones appointed to University of Redlands Board of Trustees 

IRVINE, Calif.—Allied Universal announced that Global Chairman and CEO Steve Jones has been appointed to the University of Redlands Board of Trustees. Jones, an alumnus of the California-based university, brings decades of executive leadership experience to the board. Secure Logiq appoints Miles Davies as technical programs manager 

CRAWLEY, U.K.—Secure Logiq has appointed video surveillance industry veteran Miles Davies as technical programs manager, adding more than two decades of experience in IP-based CCTV and video management systems to its team. Davies joins Secure Logiq from ORBNET Systems, where he most recently served as director of global support services. Throughout his career, he has held a variety of technical and leadership roles in the security industry, with particular expertise in Milestone XProtect deployments and video management systems. SIA opens applications for 2026 awards, scholarship programs 

SILVER SPRING, Md.—The Security Industry Association (SIA) has opened applications for four recognition and scholarship programs for 2026 aimed at supporting professional development and workforce growth across the security industry. The programs include SIA's 25 on the RISE Awards, the Denis R. Hébert Identity Management Scholarship, the James Rothstein Business Scholarship and the SIA–SecuritySpecifiers Young Consultants Scholarship. The 25 on the RISE Awards, presented through SIA's RISE community, recognize 25 emerging security professionals each year for contributions to the industry. Recipients receive funding to attend SIA's Securing New Ground conference, scheduled for Oct. 20-21, 2026, in New York City. The Denis R. Hébert Identity Management Scholarship provides two $5,000 scholarships annually to employees of SIA member companies pursuing education related to identity management, including certifications, training courses and post-secondary programs. The James Rothstein Business Scholarship helps students and early-career professionals attend Securing New Ground by covering conference registration and travel expenses. Eligible applicants must be either SIA student members or members of the SIA RISE community employed by a SIA member company. The SIA–SecuritySpecifiers Young Consultants Scholarship supports security consultants, designers and specifiers age 35 and younger by funding attendance at CONSULT 2026, which will take place Oct. 9-12 in Kansas City, Mo. The scholarship includes conference registration, access to events and mentorship opportunities. “SIA is proud to present this year’s 25 on the RISE Awards and two scholarships established in the names of past two SIA chairs who advanced the association’s value proposition – the Denis R. FAST names Dr. Elli Reges executive director 

SILVER SPRING, Md.—The Foundation for Advancing Security Talent (FAST) has named Dr. Elli Reges as its new executive director. FAST, which was created in 2020 through a partnership among the Electronic Security Association (ESA), Security Industry Association (SIA) and PSA, works to connect job seekers and students with career opportunities in the electronic security and life safety industry. Reges, who serves as SIA's director of learning and development, will take on the additional role of executive director of FAST. In the dual position, she will oversee the foundation's efforts to expand education, strengthen career pathways and attract new talent to the security workforce. “Our industry has an incredible story to tell, yet too many students and job seekers simply don’t know the opportunities that exist,” Reges said. “Together, we have an opportunity to redefine how people see the security industry - not just as a place to find a job, but as a place to build a meaningful career, solve complex challenges and make a lasting impact.” According to FAST, Reges has led several collaborative programs involving ESA, PSA and SIA and will focus on advancing the foundation's workforce development mission through industry partnerships. Reges has more than a decade of experience in learning strategy, credentialing and organizational development within the security industry. Before joining SIA, she developed training and certification programs for sport and event security professionals at the National Center for Spectator Sport Safety and Security (NCS4). She holds a Ph.D. in human capital development from the University of Southern Mississippi and is a certified credentialing professional. John Nemerofsky, FAST board chair and chief operating officer of SAGE Integration, said Reges' background makes her well suited to guide the organization's next phase of growth. “FAST has built tremendous momentum by bringing our industry together around one of its most important priorities - developing the next generation of security professionals,” Nemerofsky said. “Dr. Reges has been instrumental in advancing workforce development initiatives across the industry, and her expertise, collaborative leadership and strategic vision make her exceptionally well suited to lead FAST into its next phase of growth.” 

Pimloc launches secure file-sharing capability for redacted records 

SAN FRANCISCO—Pimloc has launched Secure File Sharing, a new capability within its Secure Redact platform designed to help organizations securely deliver redacted video, audio and documents to external recipients. The feature allows public safety agencies, school districts and other organizations to share redacted files through expiring, passcode-protected links, eliminating the need to download and re-upload files into separate systems before delivery, according to the company. Pimloc said the tool is intended to streamline responses to Freedom of Information Act requests, public records requests and student-record requests governed by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). “Redaction itself is only one step of safely releasing sensitive footage and records,” said Simon Randall, CEO of Pimloc. “The next challenge is getting that file to the right person without creating another point of exposure.” Once a file has been redacted in Secure Redact, users can generate a secure share link rather than exporting the file. Recipients receive an email notification, verify their email address and enter a one-time passcode before accessing the content. The company said recipients do not need a Secure Redact account to view or download files. Pimloc said senders can establish expiration dates for file access and that all sharing activity is recorded automatically. The platform's audit trail logs when links are sent, accessed and downloaded, creating a documented chain of custody for compliance and legal purposes. “For records teams that are already stretched thin, this closes the gap between finishing a redaction and getting it into the hands of whoever asked for it,” Randall said. Secure File Sharing is available immediately for Secure Redact customers and supports video, audio and document workflows, according to Pimloc.

NFPA elects Bonney chair, announces board changes 

QUINCY, Mass.—The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) has named longtime board member John Bonney as the organization's new chairperson of its Board of Directors following its June 22 Annual Meeting. Bonney succeeds Dave Paulison, the former FEMA administrator and U.S. fire administrator, who completed his second two-year term as board chair. A member of the NFPA Board since 2015, Bonney previously served as first vice chair. He brings more than 30 years of experience in fire and rescue leadership, including service as president of the UK Chief Fire Officers Association and chief fire officer of Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service. In 2015, he was awarded Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for his contributions to the fire and rescue service. As chairperson, Bonney will work with NFPA's executive leadership team and board members to advance the organization's fire, electrical and life-safety initiatives worldwide. In addition to electing Bonney, the board named its officer slate for the coming term. Roger Montembeault was elected first vice chair, Butch Browning second vice chair, Lou Paulson secretary, Reggie Freeman treasurer, Denis Onieal assistant treasurer and Paulison immediate past chair. NFPA members also elected one new board member and reelected two others to three-year terms. Michael P. Ryan, senior vice president and chief accounting officer at Otis Elevator Co., was elected to his first three-year term on the board. Michael Snyder, vice president of operational risk management at DEKRA, was elected to his first full three-year term after filling a partial board vacancy beginning in 2025.

360 Privacy names former secret service official as SVP of enterprise security ops

Sax as senior vice president of enterprise security operations, adding a veteran security executive as the company continues to expand its leadership team. Sax joins 360 Privacy after serving as chief security officer of a global security firm. This partnership will enhance SIA membership value by prominently featuring SIA member companies and SIA-certified professionals on the nFACT platform, with verified member badges, certification indicators and algorithmic preference in buyer search results. “SIA has been following the development of nFACT’s platform for some time, and we are proud to partner with them in this new initiative, which recognizes SIA membership, as well as our certifications and credentials, as top-tier factors in how users make decisions on the subcontractors and installation companies they work with,” said SIA CEO Don Erickson. “This partnership will strengthen SIA’s value proposition for both integrator and manufacturer member companies and professionals.” Over the next 30 days, SIA member companies will be added into the nFACT platform, and once that work is complete, every SIA credential a member holds, such as the Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM) certification or Security Industry Cybersecurity Certification (SICC), will be surfaced on their nFACT service provider profile, with dedicated badges, search filters and algorithmic preference inside the platform. Versa taps industry vet for VP role
