ProdataKey introduces high-security Red Reader V2

DRAPER, Utah—ProdataKey (PDK), a provider of cloud-based access control solutions, has released the Red Reader V2, an updated version of its high-security reader designed to improve performance, flexibility and installation efficiency.
The Red Reader V2 features faster processing, improved read performance and a redesigned chassis intended to simplify installation. The reader supports a range of credential types, including high-security credentials, proximity cards, Bluetooth, PIN and mobile credentials, and is compatible with PDK’s cloud-based platform, PDK.io.

The product is available in four configurations: mullion, mullion with keypad, single gang and single gang with keypad. The mullion keypad version represents a new addition to PDK’s high-security reader lineup, offering a compact option that combines multiple authentication methods.
“Our goal with the Red Reader V2 was to build on a proven product and make it more flexible and easier to deploy,” said Brach Bengtzen, PDK VP of marketing. “This release reflects our commitment to innovation and to providing our partners with tools that simplify installation while elevating security standards.”
PDK said the reader incorporates updated encryption protocols and authentication capabilities to support evolving security requirements across commercial, multifamily and enterprise environments.
