Pye-Barker acquires Modern Systems, enhancing full-service life safety in Kentucky

ATLANTA—Pye-Barker Fire & Safety has announced the acquisition of Kentucky alarm and security company Modern Systems.
This acquisition bolsters Pye-Barker's impact on fire and life safety throughout Kentucky, expanding full fire code compliance to new communities.
Modern Systems has provided fully scalable, customizable and integrated security solutions for businesses and neighbors throughout Kentucky for over 45 years. Modern Systems' commercial security capabilities include fire alarms, intrusion detection, video surveillance access control and license plate identification system, powered by AI analytics and 24/7 monitoring. The team also provides yearly inspections and system maintenance to ensure lives and livelihoods are protected.
Modern Systems' innovative approach to AI sets the company apart and is an example of leadership's forward thinking. Founding the company in 1979 while still very young, David Morris has continued to drive the company through decades of expanded services, technologies and geographic markets.
