Security-Net adds ITD Texas executive as newest member

WILMINGTON, Del.—Security-Net has added a new member to its network of security systems integrators: John Wever, chief technology officer of ITD Texas (Integrated Technologies and Design), which operates in El Paso and the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The addition expands Security-Net’s presence in the Southwest and brings in a company with experience supporting federal government and other high-security environments.

Founded in 2010, ITD Texas provides electrical and security integration services, including fire detection, access control, video surveillance, intrusion systems and structured cabling. The company serves a range of sectors such as federal government, healthcare and education, and has completed projects for agencies including the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security.

Wever co-founded the company with his wife, Marcia, and brings an engineering background that includes electrical infrastructure and advanced security systems. ITD Texas employs about 30 people and operates from two Texas locations.

“We’ve collaborated with several Security-Net members over the years and have seen the value of the network firsthand,” Wever said. “Joining gives us an opportunity to share knowledge, adopt best practices and continue to grow while supporting fellow members.”

Through its membership, ITD Texas plans to contribute its experience in government projects and emergency response work, while leveraging the organization’s collaborative approach to strengthen operations.

“ITD Texas brings strong technical capabilities and experience in complex environments,” said Roy Stephenson, director of business development for Utah Yamas Controls and a long-time Security-Net member. “Their presence in Texas will support both regional and national projects.”

Security-Net has 19 member companies across the United States, Canada and international markets. Members collaborate on projects, share technical expertise and provide support for customers with multi-location needs.
