SIA adds more keynote and featured speakers to Perimeter PREVENT lineup

SILVER SPRING, Md.—The Security Industry Association (SIA) has announced additional keynote and featured speakers for its 2026 Perimeter PREVENT symposium, scheduled for June 24 in Washington, D.C.

The event, focused on perimeter security for government and commercial environments, will bring together policymakers, federal officials, architects, engineers and solution providers to address emerging challenges in physical security and critical infrastructure protection.

Security Industry AssociationNewly added to the keynote lineup is David K. Hernandez, director of global security design and engineering at The Walt Disney Company. Hernandez will deliver the afternoon keynote session, titled “The Integrated Perimeter: Convergint Technology Into Outcomes,” examining how organizations can better connect perimeter technologies and operational workflows to improve visibility, accelerate decision-making and enhance resilience.

Hernandez brings nearly 20 years of experience aligning IT systems with business needs, with expertise spanning physical security, asset management, project management and enterprise system deployment. At Disney, he has helped develop programs supporting the company’s Global Security Operations Center.

He joins previously announced morning keynote speaker Ret. Gen. William J. Walker, vice president and corporate security director for enterprise accounts at Allied Universal. Walker has more than 30 years of experience across military, law enforcement and security roles, including service as a Drug Enforcement Administration special agent, the 38th Sergeant at Arms of the U.S. House of Representatives and commanding general of the District of Columbia National Guard.

SIA also announced a slate of additional speakers from across the security, engineering and public safety sectors, including executives and technical experts from firms such as M.C. Dean, Motorola Solutions, Hanwha Vision America, Gallagher Security and FLIR Systems, as well as representatives from law enforcement and consulting organizations.

Session topics will cover a range of perimeter security issues, including the integration of thermal imaging, LiDAR and artificial intelligence (AI)-driven analytics; layered approaches to perimeter defense; applications of crime prevention through environmental design; and strategies to secure complex environments such as data centers and critical infrastructure sites.

The program will conclude with a networking reception for attendees.
