Vivint Gives Back raises $222k for children's gifts

PROVO, Utah—Vivint's sixth annual Sub for Santa program has raised $222,000 to buy gifts for more than 3,000 children across North America, the company announced Dec. 12.

Vivint matched employee donations to its charitable foundation, Vivint Gives Back, dollar for dollar, according to the release. Vivint employees may donate time or money to Sub for Santa, shopping, wrapping and delivering gifts.

“There isn't anything more rewarding than providing joy and restoring hope for kids in need,” said Josh Houser, president of Vivint Gives Back, in a prepared statement. “Vivint's Sub for Santa program is an awesome tradition and our employees are beyond passionate about making a difference for these children and their families.”

Vivint employees in Utah delivered gifts to more than 1,000 students at Lincoln and Roosevelt Elementary, where 98 percent of students live below the poverty line, according to the release.

Since its inception, Sub for Santa has tripled the number of children it assists, the company said.
