LAS VEGAS—Allied Universal’s new Unified Command Center is already setting the standard for real-time situational awareness and adaptable security, ensuring the safety of people at events of all sizes, the company says.

Using a cellular connection, the Unified Command Center acts as a central hub, bringing together video feeds, radio communications and operational data into one integrated platform. Acting as the eyes and ears of an event, it enables security teams to monitor activity, adjust quickly and make informed decisions.

Allied Universal“Our real bread and butter is in the event space - music festivals, conventions, trade shows,” said Andrew LaMadrid, vice president of sales for Unified Command Solutions, a division of Allied formed when the company acquired Unified Command in December 2024. “We've really branched off with our managed service offering where we are able to send clients a package of pre-programmed cameras. Those cameras are just plug and play, where they can stream directly to the clients’ phone or computer.”

The equipment utilized by the Unified Command Center is sent out with technicians using what LaMadrid calls “white glove” service and set up from a networking perspective through radio shots networking, a VLAN solution, or something else depending on the environment. The number of cameras needed at each event ranges on average from 10 cameras at smaller events up to 200-250 cameras at Tier 1 events.

Beyond recording incidents, the Unified Command Center, which received an honorable mention in the Managed Services category at the 2025 SIA New Products and Solutions Awards during ISC West in Las Vegas, also actively intervenes to prevent issues before they escalate.

“Our technicians will set up the cameras, and those same technicians are also real masters of active monitoring during an event,” he explained. “That's where we really integrate and create a unified command center, kind of following ICS (Incident Command System) terminology.”

In addition to cameras, Unified Command Solutions can provide facial recognition and license plate recognition technology, intrusion alarms and behavioral analytics for things like line counting or crossing.

“We try to tailor every solution to the client and their problem, and we try to bring the best solution for that,” LaMadrid noted.

Unified Command Solutions is looking to expand to other verticals, including construction, oil and gas, and commercial security (when access is unavailable during construction) – essentially, places where “we can rapidly deploy cameras on a temporary basis,” LaMadrid noted.

“Incident management is really what we focus on,” LaMadrid said. "Then after the event we take it all down and it's like we were never there.”
