LOS GATOS, Calif., and HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill.—Convergint and Lumana have announced a partnership aimed at bringing artificial intelligence (AI)-powered video security capabilities to enterprise, mid-market and public-sector customers through Convergint's global integration and service network.
Under the agreement, Convergint's Technology Centers will design, deploy and support Lumana's AI video security platform, allowing organizations to add advanced analytics and monitoring capabilities to existing camera systems without replacing hardware.
According to the companies, the partnership addresses a common challenge for security teams: the large volumes of video collected by surveillance systems that often go unwatched. Lumana's platform uses artificial intelligence to analyze footage from existing IP cameras, identify specific events and provide insights intended to speed investigations and improve situational awareness.
“As part of the partnership, Convergint's global network of Technology Centers will design, quote, deploy and service Lumana's camera-agnostic AI video security platform, providing enterprise and public sector customers with a trusted integrator to add advanced AI capabilities to their existing security infrastructure,” the companies said in announcing the partnership.
Lumana's platform is built around VIA-1, the company's proprietary video intelligence model, and uses a hybrid-cloud architecture that processes video locally while leveraging cloud resources for incident analysis, remote management and system updates. The platform supports a range of compliance requirements, including SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA and NDAA standards.
The company said its technology is currently deployed across a variety of vertical markets, including retail, manufacturing, higher education, healthcare, sports venues and Fortune 500 enterprises.
“Convergint is a trusted integrator partner that deeply understands complex facilities, camera infrastructure and the teams responsible for keeping them secure,” said Sagi Ben Moshe, co-founder and CEO of Lumana. “The combination of our AI video security platform with Convergint's field engineering expertise gives enterprise and public sector customers a seamless path to transform their video security into actionable intelligence so they can see, understand and act on threats in real time, all without replacing their existing hardware.”
Joe Young, vice president of partners and alliances at Convergint, said the partnership expands the AI-enabled video options available to customers while combining Lumana's platform capabilities with Convergint's expertise in system design, deployment and ongoing service.
“Our work with Lumana expands the AI-enabled video options available to customers and combines Lumana's platform capabilities with Convergint's experience in solution design, integration, deployment and ongoing service,” Young said.
