PITTSBURGH--Federal Protective Services, a division of the Department of Homeland Security, recognized Guardian Protection Services here for its support of the agency's security needs, including support during emergency situations.
During the flooding of Pittsburgh in 2004, Guardian secured the temporary location of a local police department.
It also secured and its collection of case evidence after the department was forced to evcuate its permanent building.
DHS presented Guardian Protection with a plaque in August.
