ESA adds two directors to complete Board composition

DALLAS—The Electronic Security Association (ESA) Board of Directors announced it has completed its composition in accordance with its recently amended and adopted bylaws with the appointment of two ESA Competency Directors. These board-appointed positions provide skill and competency in identified fields or specialties of value to the association and industry.

ESA welcomes Steve Paley, President and CEO, Rapid Security Solutions, LLC (RSS), Sarasota, Fla., and Kevin Stone, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President, Doyle Security Systems, Inc., Rochester, N.Y., to these director positions.

The purpose of a director on the ESA Board is to work collectively as a team to provide good governance of ESA affairs and to set direction to optimize the growth and performance of the organization.

Each Board Member has a responsibility for ensuring strategies and policies that are developed, discussed, and implemented will enable the organization to achieve its mission and vision, and to monitor the organization’s implementation of those strategies and policies.

Since co-founding RSS in 2007, Paley has been responsible for the strategic leadership and planning of the company, where his 35-plus years of middle market retail, service and distribution management skills have been instrumental in leading the organization’s growth. Prior to founding RSS, he held various senior executive roles as President, CFO and Controller for companies in numerous and diverse industries, domestically and internationally including recreational marine, beverage, professional hair salon and foundry.

“I’m proud that ESA Leadership thinks highly enough of me to put me in a position to help the association,” Paley said. “I hope to drive strategy for ESA that can help ensure the long-term viability of this incredibly valuable and important organization.”

Stone began his career with Doyle in 1989 and is a 32-year veteran of the alarm industry. He started as a Commercial Security Consultant and now has responsibility for Sales, Installation and Service for Doyle Security’s eight branches. He is also responsible for the Doyle Medical Monitoring division.

Stone currently sits on the Advisory Boards of the Monitoring Association (TMA), Security Industry Alarm Coalition (SIAC), Resideo and the American Cancer Society.

“It’s an honor to give back to an industry that has been so good to me,” Stone said. “Both myself and Doyle Security are committed to progressing the electronic security industry — and there’s no doubt that ESA is an effective vehicle to do this.”
