Genetec's updated Security Center adds integration capability

MONTREAL—The latest service release of Security Center 5.2 SR4 is now available for customers and users with active software management agreements to download, Genetec announced Jan. 27. It offers integration with more than 80 new video devices from 13 technology partners, and gives access to new updates, options and support features.
With the new software, users can integrate with video devices from Arecont, Axis, Samsung, Sony and Vivotek, and with several megapixel IP cameras, according to the statement. Users can also tie into perimeter fences and surveillance video.
"Through collaboration with Genetec technology partners, we are able to deliver frequent updates and integrations to Security Center and provide our customers access to the latest technologies,” said Jimmy Palatsoukas, Genetec senior manager of product marketing, in a prepared statement. “Our unified security platform allows end users to take advantage of our partners' security capabilities through a single intuitive application.”
Genetec's new and updated third-party plugins, including the updated Software House C-Cure 9000 and Barco CMS plugin, bring more technology partners to Security Center, the company said.
