LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Honeywell's newest version of its hosted-video solution, Maxpro Cloud 3.0, provides companies more options for storing surveillance clips, as well as potential cost savings, according to a company statement.
Honeywell estimates hosted video can save users about $1,500 annually by eliminating annual costs associated with software updates and system administration.
The newest version of Maxpro Cloud offers a combination of local storage, USB-based storage, networked attached storage appliance, and cloud-based backup. The solution is optimal for small businesses, who can use the array of storage options to store HD video locally while backing up more important events in the cloud, the statement said.
Other enhancements include a notification manager that helps security personnel respond promptly to alarms by emailing video clip links to help users determine proper responses. The system also features a digital dashboard interface that allows users to see multiple sites from a single view.
