Ken Gould Consulting adds Lew Walters as senior consultant

HOWELL, N.J.—Ken Gould Consulting has announced the addition of industry veteran Lew Walters as senior consultant.

In his new role, Walters will offer the firm’s full suite of services, including subcontracting, while taking a lead role in strategic consulting, leadership, and coaching.

“I’ve had the privilege of knowing Lew for many years, and if you’ve spent any time in the alarm and security sector, you likely know him too,” said CEO Ken Gould.

A legacy of expertise

Often referred to as the "Security Guru," Walters brings 55+ years of experience to the team. His career is a “masterclass in security leadership,” the firm stated.

Having held roles ranging from national sales manager to product manager, he has spent over five decades helping companies bring products to market and navigating the complexities of the monitoring world.

His contributions to the industry are deep-rooted:

• Industry Standards: Walters worked with other professionals to develop a uniform training program for central station dispatchers - a program that is still widely used today to train operators and dispatchers.
• Regulatory Knowledge: He is an expert in UL requirements and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) regulations pertaining to central stations.
• Leadership & Service: Walters has served as vice president and director for the New Jersey Alarm Association and helped found the Pennsylvania Alarm Association in 1977.
• Licensed Professional: He holds active licenses across multiple states, including California, Virginia, Utah, Maryland, and Georgia.
