Kwikset locks now supported by iBridge-equipped Napco panels

LAKE FOREST, Calif.—Kwikset, a residential security company based here, has announced that its deadbolt locks are now supported through the Z-Wave automation functionality of any new or existing iBridge-equipped Gemini control panel from Napco Security Technologies, a manufacturer of security systems, according to a company statement.
With the addition of an iBridge Z-Remote Z-Wave module to the Gemini security system, Kwikset SmartCode lock customers can control locks, security, video, temperature and lighting. Doors can be remotely locked or unlocked, and customers are notified by text and video clip messages when the Kwikset lock is engaged, or when the Napco alarm is turned on or off, the company said.
Kwikset's SmartCode deadbolts and levers with Home Connect technology integrate with home security and automation systems, allowing the locks to communicate with other wireless products in the home, such as security and home entertainment systems, the statement noted.
