READING, England — Kyocera Cyber, a specialist business operating from Kyocera UK’s headquarters in Reading – has been launched today.
Backed by the wider Kyocera family, the brand has invested in enterprise-grade architecture to build a managed security operations center (M-SOC).
The new brand brings together Kyocera’s existing suite of security services, alongside a number of new offerings. The backbone of this is the AI-driven, hyperautomated M-SOC, which offers 24/7 global coverage and covers all bases, from proactive defense through to incident management and recovery. Its remit includes monitoring, threat detection, incident response and vulnerability assessment, among a range of other responsibilities.
To accelerate their services, Kyocera Cyber has formed a collaboration with Torq, a cybersecurity provider that delivers an AI-powered hyperautomation platform for security operations teams. The Torq autonomous AI platform integrates with Kyocera Cyber’s proprietary architecture where it delivers precise automated alert handling and response.
Eldad Livni, co-founder and CINO at Torq, said: “Torq is thrilled to partner with Kyocera for the launch of the Kyocera Cyber brand and its next stage of business growth. It’s impressive to see how Kyocera has harnessed the Torq Hyperautomation platform to serve as the engine for its AI-driven M-SOC offering. We’re pleased to integrate our industry-leading technology into the Kyocera ecosystem, which enables it to better meet customers’ complex cyber security challenges, while being instrumental to our own growth as a business.”
Kyocera Cyber said that it focuses on a tailored, comprehensive offering with an emphasis on managed security services and personalized, collaborative, value-driven relationships with customers.
“Many corporate cybersecurity companies do a good job of identifying threats, but then leave it to the customer to find a suitable provider to plug the gaps and upgrade their systems,” said Andrew Smith, Chief Information & Strategy Officer at Kyocera Cyber. “This process is hugely complex and technical, and most customers will struggle to handle it without end-to-end support.”
He continues, “Organizations don’t want to buy cyber services from companies that only scratch the surface; they want to work with certified specialists who live and breathe cybersecurity, providing valued insights and advice that is tailored to their business and risk profile. That was our thinking behind Kyocera Cyber: a distinct, forward-thinking brand with our own AI-powered, hyperautomated next generation managed SOC at its core, offering a holistic suite of services available under a single umbrella.”
