LAS VEGAS—Milestone Systems said Resorts World Las Vegas is leveraging its XProtect video management software to strengthen investigations, support gaming surveillance and generate operational insights across its 88-acre resort.
Opened in 2021 on the Las Vegas Strip, Resorts World Las Vegas spans multiple hotels, a casino, entertainment venues, retail spaces and restaurants.
According to Milestone, the property relies on XProtect VMS to connect approximately 5,800 cameras and a range of third-party technologies through its open-platform architecture. The system integrates camera technologies from Axis Communications, Bosch and Hanwha Vision, along with analytics and investigation tools from companies including BriefCam, Oosto, Aeyesky and Axis Communications.
“We rely on the system every day to investigate fraud, theft, and any activity that could result in a loss,” said Lindsay Dever, assistant director of fraud and nightclub surveillance at Resorts World Las Vegas. “It gives us the visibility we need to quickly understand what happened and take action.”
Milestone said the platform supports a variety of use cases, including gaming surveillance, fraud detection, forensic investigations, people counting, facial recognition, customer behavior analysis and operational analytics.
“Large, dynamic environments like Resorts World Las Vegas require technology that can adapt to multiple operational needs without adding complexity,” said Tim Palmquist, vice president of the Americas for Milestone Systems. “An open platform approach allows this Las Vegas casino resort to bring together best-of-breed technologies into a single ecosystem, enabling teams to improve investigations, support regulatory requirements, and generate operational insights that extend well beyond traditional security.”
According to the company, the integrated platform enables resort personnel to respond to incidents more quickly, conduct investigations more efficiently and provide law enforcement with video evidence when needed.
Looking ahead, Resorts World plans to expand its use of AI-driven capabilities, including enhanced people-counting tools, behavioral analytics and technologies designed to better track guest movement across the property. The resort is also exploring ways to streamline operator workflows and take a more proactive approach to investigations, Milestone said.
