Milestone XProtect now available as a VMS cloud service for U.S. government

PORTLAND, Ore. – Milestone Systems has announced its partnership with FedCloudIA, paving the way forward for government security solutions.

Milestone’s signature software, XProtect, has been made available as part of the FedCloudIA cloud service offering, a FedRAMP Ready video management solution. Milestone said that by participating in this FedRAMP Ready environment, XProtect becomes a trusted cloud service technology for U.S. federal, state, and local government agencies. 

“This distinction eases the process of conducting business within the government sector,” Milestone wrote. “With this move, any government agency seeking a FedRAMP Ready Video Management System (VMS) now has the option to use Milestone through FedCloudIA. Likewise, resellers for government agencies looking to leverage Milestone's robust cloud capabilities may proceed through the FedCloudIA platform.”

Milestone XProtect currently supports over 13,000 different security devices from more than 700 industry manufacturers. The FedCloudIA cloud service offering adheres to the security policies published by NIST and is tailored to the FedRAMP Moderate baseline and DoD IL-4.
