Mission 500 announces new board of director members

MIAMI—Mission 500, a non-profit charitable organization focusing on the security industry and dedicated to serving children and communities in need across the U.S., recently announced the addition of five new board of director members.

Ken Gould of Ken Gould Consulting has been elected Chairman of the Board. Gould is a former president of the NYFAA and the MBFAA, sits on the Foundation Board for North Shore LIJ Staten Island University Hospital, is on the ESA Board of Directors, is a former ESA New Jersey CSA representative, and is president elect of NJESA.

Three newly elected board members include:
• James Rothstein, SVP Global Security Solutions, Anixter;
• Will Wise, Group Vice President of the Security Events Portfolio, Reed Exhibitions; and
• Jason Lutz, Strategic National Account Manager & Industry Relations, Resideo.

Richard Hahn, President, Richard Hahn and Associates and Herve Fages, President, Connected Building & Building Management Systems, Honeywell Home and Building Technologies, are stepping down from the Mission 500 Board of Directors. Hahn and Fages have supported Mission 500 from its inception, and both will serve as Board Emeritus members.

The Mission 500 organization is also pleased to announce that Mary Beth Shaughnessy, event director, ISC Events and Unmanned Security Expo at Reed Exhibitions, will join the Mission 500 Executive Board to provide organizational direction and strategy planning.

“I am pleased to welcome our new Chairman, new executive board member, and three new Board of Directors members,” Tom Nolan, director of strategic partnerships for Mission 500. “They each have a unique background, with diverse experiences, including current and past commitments to helping children in need, that make them an asset to the Mission 500 Board of Directors and to the organization as a whole.”

Mission 500's primary goal was to focus security industry efforts on sponsoring more than 500 children through partner nonprofit charities. Through corporate sponsorships and donors, this volunteer-driven initiative is now sponsoring more than 1,100+ children, has generated more than $4 million in cash, product and service donations, 27,000+ meals, and distributed more than 10,000 book bags filled with school supplies to students attending Title One schools.
