Monitronics launches electronic contract tool for dealers

DALLAS—Following a pilot phase, Monitronics International is making its electronic “eContract” application available to its authorized dealers, according to a company statement.

The application allows sales personnel to complete electronic versions of each contract, which reduces hard-copy paperwork. Once the customer confirms the information and acknowledges their understanding of it, the salesperson submits it, sending a PDF copy to both the company and the customer, the statement said.

“It's really a win-win for both our dealers and our customers,” said Bruce Mungiguerra, vice president of operations for Monitronics.

Ben Brookhart, CEO at Power Home Technologies, a Monitronics dealer, said he is selling more than 90 percent of his customers using the eContract technology.

“This process has allowed us to centralize our funding process, reduce mistakes made by sales reps filling out traditional paperwork, and promote our 'go green' initiative by eliminating paperwork altogether,” he said in the statement.
