NAPCO restructures sales leadership to support growth strategy

AMITYVILLE, N.Y.—NAPCO Security Technologies has reorganized its sales and support teams under a new companywide growth strategy aimed at expanding sales across its commercial fire, security, access control and locking product lines.

The restructuring was developed by Chief Revenue Officer Joe Pipczynski and took effect July 1. According to the company, the changes are designed to align sales resources more closely with customer needs as security technologies continue to converge.

NAPCO Security TechnologiesAs part of the reorganization, NAPCO combined its dealer-focused fire, security and access control sales teams. The unified group will support those offerings through independent manufacturers’ representative firms and security distributors across North America.

Stephen Spinelli, senior vice president of sales for all NAPCO divisions, said the move mirrors the company’s approach to integrating software and hardware solutions.

“Much like the MVP Cloud Access platform combines the strengths of the company’s software and hardware, with this new plan, NAPCO has combined its dealer-oriented fire & security and access control sales teams,” Spinelli said.

Under the new structure, Rob Etmans, formerly with Napco Access, has been named vice president/general manager for fire, access control and security technology. He will oversee the team alongside Sales Directors Troy Bonnano in the East and Christian Brandow in the West. Elliot Bean, recently promoted to vice president of distribution, will manage distributor relationships.

NAPCO also merged its Alarm Lock and Marks USA sales organizations. The combined team will focus on locking and access control products, including MVP-EZ mobile app access management solutions, through contract hardware and locking distributors. Ray Krispin has been appointed vice president/general manager of locking sales and will lead the effort with Sales Directors Chris Donohue and Lorne Landry.

In additional leadership changes, David Sperber was named vice president of national accounts and will work with Manager Ric Gibbey to support the company’s largest partners. Tom Karl, vice president of corporate sales, will continue to support the group from NAPCO headquarters.

The company also said Duane Warehime will return to a previous role overseeing international sales while managing strategic special projects.

On the customer support side, Dominic Macri was promoted to vice president of corporate customer relations. In his expanded position, he will oversee technical support, technical training, field sales engineering and inside customer sales operations.

Pipczynski said the restructuring is intended to strengthen customer support, create strategic partnerships and expand NAPCO’s presence in new markets.

“I am confident these changes will exploit our strengths and successes, increase overall support and expand NAPCO’s loyal customer base of security professionals under our NapcONE offering,” he said. “This plan is designed to effectively multiply our workforce, position us to create more strategic partnerships, and attain key company goals and metrics, with an eye toward double-digit YoY growth.”
