PSA names new director of education

WESTMINSTER, Colo.—PSA Security Network has appointed Barbara Shaw as its new director of education, according to a news release.

Shaw will work with vendors, integrators, consultants and others in the security industry. She will report directly to PSA CEO Bill Bozeman.

“The PSA community is made up of many successful independent integrators who are smart, agile, technically innovative and forward thinking,” Shaw said in a prepared statement. “Many PSA companies will tell you that outstanding customer service is key to their success, and the highly responsive nature of these companies is due in a large part to a high level of employee engagement. This is what is really exciting to me, this level of employee engagement.”

Shaw has been in the security industry since 1996, beginning her career as a vertical marketing specialist before advancing to commercial and nation account sales. In 2000 she began her work in training and development, earning the Certified Professional in Learning and Performance credential from the American Society for Training & Development Certification Institute, the release noted.
