PSIA co-locates with TechSec Solutions

DALLAS--The Physical Security Interoperability Alliance has announced it will hold its quarterly meeting here in Dallas next month to coincide with TechSec Solutions, a conference exploring the impact of IP technology on the physical security industry, to be held at the Fairmont Hotel, Feb. 23-25. For a group dedicated to further standards adoption in the physical security industry, this is a logical choice, said David Bunzel, managing partner at Santa Clara Consulting and a founder of the PSIA, considering the group was founded last February following the last TechSec show, and "the fact is that a number of the PSIA members are going to be active at TechSec."

For example, PSIA chairman Rob Hile will participate in the event's closing panel, "Where Will Standards Take Us?," which is moderated by Hirsch's Rob Zivney, a long-time standards advocate who has testified before Congress, and also features ONVIF chairman Jonas Andersson, past SIA standards chair R. Hunter Knight, and Roger Roehr, manager of the Government Vertical for Software House.

This the second organization to co-locate with TechSec. In November, the Security Network of America announced it was holding its Executive IT conference here on the day prior to TechSec.
