Pye-Barker acquires Maryland-based ResponseTECH

ATLANTA—Pye-Barker Fire & Safety has expanded its presence in the Mid-Atlantic with the acquisition of ResponseTECH, Inc., a Rockville, Md.-based provider of security and life safety solutions. 

ResponseTECH provides intrusion and fire alarm systems, access control, central station monitoring, nurse-call systems and mass emergency notification solutions. The company serves customers across a range of sectors, including commercial, education and senior living, and provides services spanning system design, installation, testing and maintenance. 

Pye-Barker said ResponseTECH will join its existing Maryland operations, enabling the company to provide a broader range of life safety services to customers throughout the region. 

ResponseTECH owner Avner Skolnik says shared values played a key role in the decision to join Pye-Barker.
