SimpliSafe expands executive team with three leadership appointments

BOSTON—SimpliSafe has added three executives to its leadership team as the company positions itself for continued growth and innovation in the home security market.

The company announced that Mike Buckley has been named chief financial officer, Sandra Yang Scirpo chief customer officer and Sharon Segev chief administrative and legal officer.

The appointments come as SimpliSafe approaches its 20th anniversary and continues to expand its customer base, which the company said now includes more than 6 million people across the United States.

“SimpliSafe’s mission remains the same: to keep every home secure,” CEO Hilary Schneider said. “Mike, Sandra, and Sharon bring the leadership needed to guide our next chapter as we develop more proactive ways to keep people safe and expand the number of people we protect.”

Finance, customer and legal leadership roles filled

As CFO, Buckley will lead the company’s finance organization with a focus on scaling operations and identifying growth opportunities. He brings more than 30 years of experience and most recently served as CFO at Nutrafol. His previous roles include senior financial leadership positions at Nike, Postmates and Soli Organic.

Yang Scirpo will oversee the customer experience as chief customer officer, including SimpliSafe’s monitoring operations. Her role will focus on improving the customer lifecycle from activation through retention, with an emphasis on efficiency, loyalty and growth. She previously led global customer strategy and operations at Gen Digital.

Segev, who joined the company earlier this year, will oversee legal, compliance and administrative functions. She will also help guide the company’s approach to innovation and the use of AI, with a focus on customer privacy and trust. Prior to SimpliSafe, she served as chief administrative and legal officer at Shutterfly and held executive roles at Smule and LifeLock.

Focus on proactive security and customer experience

SimpliSafe said the hires support its broader strategy of expanding proactive security offerings and enhancing customer experience.

The company pointed to solutions such as its Active Guard Outdoor Protection as part of its effort to prevent incidents before they occur, while continuing to invest in its monitoring infrastructure and technology platform.

Company officials said the expanded leadership team will play a key role in driving the next phase of growth, including broadening access to its security offerings and advancing innovation across its product portfolio.
