OVERLAND PARK, Kan.—Titan Protection, a provider of integrated physical and remote security services, has announced the appointment of Thomas Keary as autonomous operations manager.
In this role, Keary will lead operations for Titan’s drone security division, a groundbreaking initiative that has positioned the company at the forefront of remote surveillance and autonomous operations.
Keary brings more than two decades of experience in security management, surveillance operations, and law enforcement, including 26 years with the Johnson County Police Department. A Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and veteran in enterprise security leadership, Keary excels with his strategic approach to operational excellence and innovation in emerging technologies. Prior to joining Titan, he held leadership roles in both public and private sector security programs, where he consistently delivered results in complex, high-risk environments.
“I’m excited to join Titan Protection at such a pivotal time in the evolution of security technology,” Keary said. The company’s commitment to innovation sets the standard for what modern security should look like. I look forward to pushing boundaries and delivering smarter, faster, and more effective protection for our clients nationwide.”
At Titan, Keary will oversee the company's Autonomous Drone Security Program, an initiative powered by Titan’s nationwide Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) waiver from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This program enables Titan’s drone operators to conduct real-time surveillance across the U.S. without the need for site-specific FAA approvals, streamlining rapid response, enhancing perimeter protection, and delivering an unprecedented level of security to clients in all industries.
“Thomas is an exceptional addition to our leadership team,” noted Ryan Smith, founder and CEO of Titan Protection. “His experience and deep understanding of remote operations will help us scale and innovate in one of the most exciting areas of modern security–autonomous monitoring. He joins at a time of strong momentum and will play a critical role in our next phase of growth.”
Titan’s Kansas City-based remote monitoring center– recently reaffirmed as a Five Diamond Monitoring Center by The Monitoring Association (TMA) – is home to a team of certified drone pilots and operators who deliver 24/7 surveillance across the country. Under Keary’s leadership, the Autonomous Operations team will continue to advance Titan’s mission of blending cutting-edge technology with professional expertise to provide effective, proactive security solutions.
