Two new accolades for Genetec

MONTREAL—Genetec, a provider of unified IP security solutions, has recently received two honors.

President Pierre Racz was named EY's 2014 Quebec Entrepreneur of the Year in the Technology and Communications Category. (EY was formerly known as Ernst and Young.)

The award program, in its 21st year, honors Canada's “most impressive entrepreneurs from all areas of business,” according to a prepared statement. Finalists are chosen based on their vision, leadership, financial success and social responsibility.

“Our success can be attributed to the high level of flexibility and forward-thinking principles that we apply into the development of our solutions, and our corporate culture is an extension of these very same principles; encouraging a dynamic and innovative workforce that is dedicated to the development of cutting-edge solutions and to exceptional customer care. This award is a testament to the creativity, dedication and innovative spirit of our employees worldwide," Racz said in the statement.

Meanwhile, the company has been named the 2014 Application Development Partner of the Year for North America by Axis Communications.

Genetec has won the Axis partner award three times since 2010. The award recognizes “the success and loyalty of one application development partner, beyond product integration to a fully realized co-development relationship,” the statement says.
