Chicago approves Fike fire alarm systems

BLUE SPRINGS, Mo.—With a stamp of approval from the city of Chicago, Fike's CyberCat 1016 and 254 control systems may now be used in the city's high-rises, the company announced Jan. 16. Approved by Underwriters Laboratory and FM Global, the systems were accepted for Class I and II applications within the city of Chicago in 2009, according to the statement.
