I’m channeling the late KISS guitarist Ace Frehley for my blog title as I’ll be making my way to the Javits Center this week for ISC East 2025, along with more than 7,000 security professionals.
ISC East is considered the leading security and public safety event in the Northeast part of the U.S., bringing together security dealers, installers, integrators, consultants, and practitioners from corporate, government, and law enforcement sectors for three days of educational sessions, networking opportunities, and an exhibit hall packed with the latest technologies and solutions.
This year’s show promises to be its most dynamic yet, as organizers have unveiled a bold reimagining of the show floor, introducing new interactive spaces and innovation hubs designed to spotlight emerging technologies and foster deeper engagement among security professionals.
At the heart of ISC East 2025’s transformation are two new show floor experiences. The Startups Pavilion is a dedicated area that will showcase groundbreaking solutions from up-and-coming companies poised to disrupt the security landscape. These innovators will offer advancements in industrial IoT, mobile access, voice biometrics, and non-lethal threat response. The pavilion is designed as a launchpad for fresh ideas, connecting attendees with the next generation of security technology.
In addition to the Startups Pavilion, a new Experience Center - powered by SAGE Integration – will make its debut at ISC East this year.
For those eager to see integration in action, the Experience Center delivers an immersive walkthrough of a fully interactive smart building. Visitors will journey from access control to advanced sensors, cameras, and video analytics, culminating in a live security operations center. This hands-on exhibit demonstrates how physical security, analytics, and AI converge to create safer, smarter environments.
While innovation takes center stage, ISC East 2025 will also bring back popular features that attendees have come to expect.
The Bridge serves as a hub for thought leadership and industry insights delivered right on the show floor. In addition, the Career Zone will offer resources and guidance for professional growth, networking, and career advancement, while the SIA Education@ISC program features over 75 sessions led by 175+ experts, covering critical topics from emerging technologies to regulatory trends.
Complementing these are other featured areas such as the Trends Pavilion, Emerging Tech, and the SIA New Products + Solutions Showcase, ensuring a comprehensive experience for every attendee.
According to Mary Beth Shaughnessy, ISC Event vice president, the 2025 edition of ISC East reflects a renewed commitment to innovation:
“This year, we’ve reimagined the ISC East experience with a focus on the future of security innovation,” she said. “The new Startups Area will spotlight trailblazing technologies, while the immersive Experience Center will allow attendees to see firsthand how integrated solutions create safer, smarter environments.”
With its expanded focus on emerging technologies, startups, and integrated security solutions, ISC East 2025 is more than a trade show - it’s a platform for shaping the future of security. Whether you’re seeking cutting-edge solutions, actionable insights, or career development opportunities, this year’s event promises to inspire, educate, and connect the industry like never before.

Can’t wait to hop on the train to Penn Station on Wednesday morning. While I have lived in one of the outer boroughs of New York City all my life, walking the streets of Manhattan to ISC East will truly get me back in the New York groove.
