Chainguard announces containers availability in AWS Marketplace

KIRKLAND, Wash. — Chainguard has announced the availability of Chainguard Containers in AWS Marketplace, a digital catalog that helps users find, buy, deploy, and manage software, data products, and professional services from thousands of vendors.

Chainguard Containers are hardened, continuously updated container images that contain zero Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) and are rebuilt from source daily. With a catalog of more than 1,700 images, including over 600 FIPS-compliant images, Chainguard Containers significantly reduces organizations' attack surface and helps both simplify and maintain compliance with critical federal frameworks like FedRAMP. By adopting Chainguard's inherently secure software, engineers can spend less time patching vulnerabilities and more time building high-impact software to achieve their missions.

"Software supply chain attacks are among the most pressing cybersecurity risks facing the public sector today," said Ken Melero, RVP of Public Sector, Chainguard. "Agencies can't afford to rely on outdated or vulnerable software components when national security is on the line. By making Chainguard Containers available in AWS Marketplace for use in the AWS GovCloud (US) Region, we're making it easier for government organizations to eliminate critical vulnerabilities before they can even be exploited, build and ship software that is secure-by-default, and keep building trust with stakeholders."

This milestone builds upon Chainguard's recent listing of its Containers product in the AWS Marketplace for the U.S. Intelligence Community (ICMP), underscoring the company's growing momentum in the public sector and reinforcing its mission to build secure software for all organizations from the ground up.
