CSAA honors Ed Bonifas and Bud Wulforst

VIENNA, Va.—Ed Bonifas, immediate past president of the Central Station Alarm Association, recently received the 2012 Stanley C. Lott Award, the group's top honor. Bud Wulforst, a past president of the CSAA, received the President's Award.
Steve Doyle, executive vice president of the CSAA, said of Bonifas, vice president of Alarm Detection Systems in Aurora, Ill., in a prepared statement: “Ed is a tireless supporter of CSAA. He contributed much during his term as president of CSAA from 2009 to 2011 and, along with last year's Stanley C. Lott Award winner, Pam Petrow, has been pivotal in implementing the Automated Secure Alarm Protocol [ASAP] program. Once this initiative is fully implemented, it will rank among the most significant in our industry.”
Wulforst, who was president of the CSAA from 2007-2009, was honored for his contributions to the association, which included his overseeing the translation of the CSAA online operator-training course into French and Spanish.
“Bud gives unstintingly of his time to CSAA,” Bob Bean, CSAA president, said in a prepared statement. “He is an ardent supporter of the association and the industry, and serves above and beyond in attending and working on committees to further the goals of this association.”
