Custom Alarm receives Blue Ribbon Award

ROCHESTER, Minn.—Custom Alarm, a company that services and monitors security systems based here, was named a Blue Ribbon Small Business Award winner by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for the fourth straight year, according to a company statement.
Custom Alarm was recognized for its “dedication to the principles of free enterprise and its contributions to restoring jobs and prosperity,” the statement said.
“The Blue Ribbon Award winners show that, even facing uncertainty and economic challenges, small businesses can grow and succeed,” Thomas J. Donohue, U.S. Chamber president and CEO, said in the statement. “They are America's economic engine, driving growth and job creation all across this country.”
Sponsored by Sam's Club, the award program honors companies that demonstrate excellence in areas including strategy, employee development, community involvement and customer service.
Custom Alarm is one of 100 Blue Ribbon winners, selected nationwide, that will be honored at America's Small Business Summit 2013, which well be held April 29-May 1 in Washington, D.C.
