Hard Rock Stadium adopts Verkada platform to unify security operations

SAN MATEO, Calif.—Hard Rock Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins, has adopted Verkada's cloud-based security platform as part of an effort to enhance fan safety and streamline operations across the 65,585-seat venue.

The deployment brings together video security, access control, guest management,  intercoms and alarms within a single platform, allowing stadium operators to manage security functions through a unified system.

Verkada"As a world-class venue hosting global events year-round, we prioritize solutions that align with the scale and pace of our operations," said Sameer Istafa, chief technology officer for the Miami Dolphins and Hard Rock Stadium. "Verkada's unified platform provides a seamless, connected operating environment that supports our focus on delivering a consistent, elevated experience for our fans at every event."

According to Verkada, the platform is designed to help security teams respond more quickly during large-scale events through activity-based detection and intelligent alerts that provide greater visibility into activity across the venue.

The system also includes perimeter monitoring capabilities intended to identify unusual activity around the stadium before it escalates.
