SAN MATEO, Calif.—Verkada has launched four new offices across the U.S. - Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, and Los Angeles - and a new international hub in Dubai.
This expansion comes after Verkada closed its fiscal year with revenue up 30% year over year and an investment from CapitalG, Alphabet's independent growth fund, which valued the company at $5.8 billion.
The company says more than 31,000 organizations rely on its AI-powered platform to secure their buildings and run smarter, faster operations.
"Verkada's growth in the past year reflects the massive opportunity to bring AI into the physical world," said Filip Kaliszan, co-founder and CEO of Verkada. "The longstanding investments we've made in AI have enabled us to meet this moment in the market, and most importantly to build safer communities around the globe together with our customers and partners."
Recent growth highlights:
-
Customer growth: More than 31,000 customers globally, including more than 100 of the Fortune 500.
-
Scale: More than 2 million Verkada devices online.
-
Multi-product adoption: 78% of core customers now use 2+ Verkada product lines and 54% use 3+.
-
Account expansion: The average customer nearly doubles their initial spend within the first 12 months of engagement.
-
Customer satisfaction: Verkada’s product Net Promoter Score (NPS) score as of Q4 was 51.
SonicWall reframes annual Cyber Protect Report around SMB protection outcomes
MILPITAS, Calif.—Cybersecurity solutions provider SonicWall has announced the release of the SonicWall 2026 Cyber Protect Report, marking a landmark reframing from traditional threat reporting in favor of the protection outcomes that matter most to business leaders, it says. At the heart of the report: Most small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) aren't losing ground to sophisticated attacks – they are losing ground to seven predictable, preventable gaps that SonicWall has named the Seven Deadly Sins of Cybersecurity. Some key statistical findings from the report include:
-
High and medium severity attacks surged 20.8% to 13+ billion hits. Attackers aren't striking more often, they're striking smarter.
-
Automated bots now generate more than 36,000 vulnerability scans per second, accounting for more than half of all internet traffic. Bad bot traffic alone has surged to 37% of all global internet traffic.
-
IoT attacks climbed 11% to 610 million hits; Log4j alone generated 824.9 million (intrusion prevention system) IPS hits in 2025, four years after disclosure.
-
Identity, cloud and credential compromise account for 85% of actionable security alerts. The stolen password, not the zero-day, is the attacker's weapon of choice.
-
SMBs bear a disproportionate ransomware burden: 88% of their breaches involved ransomware in 2025, more than double the rate seen at large enterprises.
"SonicWall data reveals attacks are getting faster, and in some instances, they're getting a little more sophisticated,” said Michael Crean, SVP and GM of managed security services at SonicWall. “But the vast majority of the attacks that we're seeing and investigating are basic fundamentals that continue to be missed. The danger isn't that AI isn't working; it's that we're using it as an excuse not to do the things we already know we should."
The 2026 report continues to draw on data from SonicWall's global network of more than 1 million security sensors to reveal a threat landscape that is growing more precise and more relentless.
The Seven Deadly Sins of Cybersecurity
-
Ignoring the fundamentals: Weak authentication, unpatched systems, and excessive admin privileges remain the primary attack surface.
-
False confidence: Believing you're too small to be targeted, overestimating control effectiveness, and assuming resilience without testing it create dangerous blind spots.
-
Overexposed access: Overly permissive rules, flat networks, and implicit trust after authentication give attackers an unobstructed path once inside.
-
Reactive security posture: Without 24/7 monitoring and proactive threat hunting, attackers set the timeline. The average breach goes undetected for 181 days.
-
Cost-driven security decisions: Deferring investment based on short-term budget pressure creates costs that arrive later, with interest. A single SMB breach can exceed $4.91 million when downtime and recovery are included.
-
Reliance on Legacy Access Models: VPNs that authenticate once and grant broad network access remain one of the most exploited entry points in enterprise security. VPN common vulnerabilities and exposures (CVEs) grew 82.5% over the analyzed period.
-
Chasing hype over execution: Buying the latest tools without deploying them completely, and expecting technology to compensate for process gaps, is its own form of vulnerability. Tools don't create outcomes, execution does.

AMAG Technology, SwiftConnect win SIA New Product Showcase Award
HAWTHORNE, Calif. — AMAG Technology and SwiftConnect have announced that the integration between Symmetry CONNECT 2.0 and SwiftConnect won the Security Industry Association (SIA) New Product Showcase award in the Convergence & Integration Solutions category. The SIA New Product Showcase occurred at ISC West. The integrated solution addresses one of the most pressing challenges facing large organizations today, the companies say: managing identities and credentials across multiple physical access control systems (PACS), often spread across regions, business units, and facilities acquired via mergers and acquisitions. Built to help customers manage one identity across disparate PACS environments, the integration provides organizations with a path to centralized identity administration without requiring a disruptive and expensive rip-and-replace of existing systems. “Winning the SIA New Product Showcase is an exciting validation of the problem we set out to solve,” said AMAG President and CEO David Sullivan. “With Symmetry CONNECT 2.0, networked by SwiftConnect, we are meeting customers where they are, helping them manage identities across existing different access control systems. That is a game changer for organizations dealing with growth, acquisitions, and increasing security complexity.” The companies say the integration is valuable for large enterprises in critical infrastructure, healthcare, banking, data centers, and other highly regulated industries where centralized management, compliance, and operational continuity are essential.
Immix, RAD win SIA New Product Showcase Award
LAS VEGAS — Immix, a provider of software for commercial monitoring centers, and Robotic Assistance Devices, Inc. (RAD), a subsidiary of Artificial Intelligence Technology Solutions, Inc. (AITX), have announced that “SARA Alive Operating Inside Immix” has been named a winner in the Commercial Monitoring Solutions category at the Security Industry Association (SIA) New Product Showcase (NPS) Awards at ISC West. The companies say this recognition builds on the ongoing collaboration between Immix and RAD, which began with the development of a device-level integration designed to deliver greater visibility, control, and real-time context to monitoring center operators. That foundation has since evolved to support more advanced capabilities, including the ability for SARA Alive to operate directly within the Immix platform and execute monitoring tasks in real time. “It’s meaningful to see this recognized by the industry, especially given how thoughtfully monitoring centers approach change,” said Chris Brown, CEO of Immix. “Our customers are navigating real operational challenges every day, and they need solutions that give them flexibility in how they adapt. This is about enabling them to evolve at their own pace - introducing automation where it makes sense, while maintaining the level of human involvement they expect.” The SIA New Product Showcase Awards, presented annually at ISC West, honor innovative security products, services, and solutions across multiple categories. The Commercial Monitoring Solutions category recognizes technologies that enhance monitoring operations and response capabilities.
