Latch announces first installation with Marks USA Locks

NEW YORK & SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – SaaS platform Latch has announced the completion of its first installation of Marks USA's ArchiTech Series Networx Locks at Meridia Living’s Meridia Village Commons in New Jersey.

Powered by Latch, these locks were installed at the Meridia Village Commons in South Orange, N.J. Latch stated that residents in the 106 units of the recent construction will benefit from their smart access technology and features like flexible unlock methods, and concierge capabilities.

“This first installation with Marks USA is a milestone in accelerating Latch’s vision to make it easier for customers to deliver the best resident experience,” said Jamie Siminoff, Latch’s incoming CEO. “Marks USA locks integrated with Latch’s technology should streamline new and retrofit installations moving forward and help expand Latch’s footprint in new market segments. This installation serves as a proof of concept for similar opportunities in the future.”

Marks USA Locks is a division of NAPCO Security Technologies, and the integration of its door hardware with Latch’s software enables authorized users and residents to unlock doors in a variety of ways from platforms like iOS, or Android, Apple Watch, keycard, or door codes.

“Working with Latch, we are able to deliver a modern, elevated access control experience to our customers and their end users, aesthetically matching Marks door locks inside and outside the building,” said Stephen Spinelli, SVP of sales at NAPCO. “We are thrilled to complete our first installation together and look forward to bringing this more fluid user experience to more spaces and residents, teaming the considerable strengths of Latch’s access control and property management technology with Marks USA Custom Locking.”

Latch also credits the success of the install to Meridia Living, and Latch’s installation partner, Protection Technologies, which it said was instrumental in the design, servicing, and support for the project. The company recently expanded the reach of their platform with the acquisition of Honest Days Work (HDW), a scheduling application, and added HDW founder (and former Ring CEO) Siminoff as the new CEO.
