MCLEAN, Va.—The Monitoring Association (TMA) has named Tyler Technologies a Platinum Partner of its Automated Secure Alarm Protocol (ASAP) Service, recognizing the company's contributions to technology development, market growth and public safety advocacy.
According to TMA, Tyler has collaborated on ASAP development, sales initiatives and industry education efforts designed to increase adoption of automated alarm delivery in emergency communications centers (ECCs).
Tyler's partnership with TMA has focused on advancing ASAP integration with computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems, expanding awareness of the service and educating public safety leaders on the benefits of automated alarm processing. TMA said those efforts support its goal of making ASAP a standard component of ECC operations by reducing manual alarm entry and allowing telecommunicators to focus on higher-priority tasks.
“Helping emergency communications teams make the most of their technology and staff is central to our work,” said Jessica Long, head of public safety partnerships at Tyler Technologies. “Our partnership with TMA brings together technology development, customer engagement and industry education to make automated alarm delivery more accessible.”
Tyler Technologies now offers an application programming interface (API) that enables a direct connection between the company's CAD systems and the ASAP Service. TMA said the approach reduces implementation time by at least 50%.
ASAP digitally delivers notifications generated by alarm monitoring companies directly into an ECC's CAD system without requiring intervention from 911 telecommunicators, helping reduce processing time and errors while accelerating emergency response.
“Tyler Technologies has demonstrated a strong commitment to improving public safety technology,” said TMA CEO Whitney Doll. “Their Platinum Partner status recognizes the value of those contributions and our shared commitment to expanding access to automated alarm delivery for emergency communications centers nationwide.”
