UCC hosts 13th annual 'extreme outdoors' dealer event

SAN ANTONIO—United Central Control on Oct. 26 announced its 13th Annual Extreme Outdoors Hunting Extravaganza reached nearly 200 attendees.

The popular UCC dealer event was a topic of concern after UCC's sale to Lydia Security Monitoring in January, the company said in its announcement. “One of the most-asked questions from dealers after the acquisition was whether or not UCC would continue to host its annual Extravaganza,” Jim McMullen, Lydia's COO, said in a prepared statement.

“Our two-day extreme event is the most unique of its kind in the world of contract monitoring,” Mark Matlock, UCC senior vice president of sales, said in the announcement. The event brought together UCC dealers for a round of golf before they loaded their shotguns to shoot skeet and join the bird hunt organized by Texas adventure company Xtreme Outdoors.

“The intent from day one was for UCC to maintain its own brand and identity, which depends on more than just a logo and the services it provides. A company's identity also relies heavily on the relationships it has with its dealers,” McMullen said. “It's obvious how important this event is to UCC and its dealers and how it contributes to the company's unique personality. I'm glad I got the opportunity to attend this one of a kind event and meet many of UCC's customers face to face to express my personal appreciation for their business.”
