Verkada unveils new PTZ camera

SAN MATEO, Calif. – Cloud-managed enterprise building security and management provider, Verkada, has announced the release of its new pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera in addition to expanded product offerings and platform integrations.

Verkada provided a list of these new product offerings which include the new PTZ camera, the CP52-E, alarm license tiers, BK11 and BK21 alarm keypads, and EMR integration With Verkada Guest for Healthcare to help simplify visitor management.

They’ve also introduced a variety of new features to improve the performance of Verkada’s integrated command platform. Verkada has included license plate recognition (LPR), events overlay in the History Player, doors on floor plans, enhanced alerts for air quality sensors, and new Line Crossing and Loitering Alerts which users can leverage to get more specific about what actions constitute suspicious behavior.

"We're excited about the new use cases Verkada can help our customers address with these new products and features," said Brandon Davito, Senior Vice President of Product and Operations at Verkada. "The new cross-product capabilities we're introducing today highlight the value of Verkada's integrated platform and make it even easier for our customers to do the critical work of keeping people and places safe."

Additionally, Verkada added new tools to improve the experience for their users. They are 'Partner Tools' in Verkada's Command platform. With them customers can share details about their Command organizations with their trusted partners, giving them insight into license status, active support cases, and a six-month case history. This gives org admins access to a summary of cases initiated by their organization's users from within Command.
